Radiculating Arm Pain
Radiculating arm pain, often referred to as radiculopathy, occurs when a nerve in the neck is compressed or irritated, leading to pain that radiates along the nerve's path into the arm. This type of pain may originate from issues such as herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, or spinal stenosis in the cervical spine (the neck region). Symptoms can include sharp or shooting pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness in the arm, hand, or fingers. The pain may worsen with certain movements or positions and can be accompanied by other neurological symptoms, depending on which nerve is affected. Physical therapy can help alleviate this pain.
